Got risk? Managing risk and reliability in modern technology.
Arthur C. Clark once predicted that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Behind the scenes, however, a lot of work goes into the devices "magically" working and if not, failing in a way that is transparent to the user. Dr. Yakov Shkolnikov will share his stories on working with clients analyzing failure, improving reliability, and evaluating risk on everything from day to day items to high end medical equipment. What:     Speaker Networking Event with Dr. Yakov Shkolnikov (Cornell '99, Princeton '05)

Cornell Cares Day, sponsored by Cornell’s Public Service Center , enables students and alumni worldwide to donate our services to a community non-profit organization. This year CCCNJ will be assisting the Crisis Ministry of Princeton in their Trenton Food Pantry. If you are interested in volunteering in this important event, please contact. Debbie G. Guest Lecture: For the Birds. Randy Little ’62 wrote the book For the Birds and will discuss the history of Cornell’s Lab of Ornithology and Sapsucker Woods sanctuary. Details to follow.

Wine Tasting. You don’t have to be a wine connoisseur to know which wines you prefer. We invite you to join your fellow Cornellians in our search for excellent value-priced wines. Please bring one bottle of your favorite wine (under $25). The wine can be from any region. This event is $10 to cover the cost of gourmet samplings to enhance our tasting experience.
